Where it all started?

During my recorder studies at the Music Conservatory in Florence (Italy) and a brief Erasmus exchange to HMT in Leipzig (Germany) I realised how many similarities baroque and jazz music have - despite being hundreds of years apart.

So I started experimenting and arranging jazz and baroque tunes and researching musicians who drew inspiration from baroque music and especially J.S.Bach.

I found so many!…and one of them was the legendary jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. When I found the recording of his Bach Suite and some live videos I was totally impressed and decided to arrange the Allegro movement for recorder & jazz band.

This was my first performance of this tune in 2017.
Enjoy!

*fresh new recording of this arrangement will be released soon, so stay tuned :)
